Cecilie is an economist and founder of World Heritage Catalysis (https://www.whcatalysis.org) - an emerging commons oriented community of practice applying innovative tools and technologies supporting transformative visitor management. The objective of WHCatalysis is to enhance resilience and adaptive capacity of people and communities living in and around UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Cecilie was the lead developer of the UNESCO World Heritage Visitor Management Assessment & Strategy Tool (VMAST) availed through the UNESCO World Heritage Sustainable Tourism Programme - a tool which is integrated into the efforts of WHCatalysis.
Cecilie is a board member of ICOMOS Norway and an active ICOMOS member a.o. part of the drafting group contributing the ICOMOS Cultural Tourism Charter.
